UNDERCURRENTS

My aim in this series is to capture the essence of not only the way light interacts with the ocean and nature, but the true sense of being outdoors in both tranquil and wild moments. Working from memory allows me freedom of expression using the tools and materials available to me. I tried in this series to explore different ways of applying paint and making marks. Brushes, palette knives and, more often than not, my fingers played a large part in achieving energy and emotion on the canvas.
